Pilates on the Ball
Put a little bounce into your workout with this fun & challenging twist to the Pilates mat work. Strengthen, stretch, and align your body while finally learning what to do with that ball you never knew how to use!! Not suitable for students with disc or spinal issues. |
|
Pilates Mat & Sculpt
This challenging approach to the Pilates mat work incorporates more use of resistance tools like hand weights, balls, bands, and wall springs from the Pilates cadillac series. Emphasis is placed on proper body alignment, breath and technique for maximum results. |
GYROKINESIS®
GYROKINESIS® methodology is a group class that emphasizes and teaches the principles also done on GYROTONIC® equipment, but these exercises are performed with a stool and mat. This system works the entire body through seven natural elements of spinal movements. The methodology systematically works the joints and muscles through rhythmic and undulating exercises. Postures are not held for long periods of time. Instead, postures are smoothly and harmoniously connected through the use of breath. |

Qi Gong
Qigong is an ancient art that combines slow graceful movements, focused breathing and meditative awareness to cultivate and circulate vital energy 'qi' throughout the body. In this class, we use stretching, qigong and meditation to rejuvenate, heal and strengthen the body, to increase our natural clarity and wisdom, and to expand our relationship with the universe. Over time, the movements assume an effortless quality as the flow of energy begins to move us from within. |
Dynamic Movement
Class focus is building a foundation of strength of the deep musculature of the back and abdominals. We then integrate these muscles into full body movements. Proper alignment, posture and breathing will increase your overall body awareness resulting in improved balance stability and quality of movement. We use body weight and a variety of balance challenging apparatus to help achieve this goal. |
