The
Pilates method of physical conditioning was developed
by German immigrant Joseph Pilates in the 1940’s
and has been utilized by dancers, athletes & physical
therapists for years. The Pilates method helps individuals
become aware of their bodies as integrated units, focusing
on correcting body alignment, improving breath and efficiency
of movement. The work consists of carefully performed movements
on specially designed apparatus which stretch and strengthen
the body releasing tension in the muscles & joints.
Private Sessions: $65/ hour The most effective way to explore and learn the Pilates method. Each session is custom tailored to suit the unique needs and abilities of every client. Correct technique is enhanced and instructed with use of the Pilates apparatus including the universal reformer, trapese table, chairs, and barrels.
